Josephine Cropper – Psychotherapist – Profile

I was born in Atherton, Lancashire. Growing up, I was interested in people and was reading Law of Attraction literature at 13 years of age. My passion for people never waned and I undertook voluntary work for many organisations.

I am now an experienced psychotherapist with my own practice. I have assisted many entrepreneurs and business people through the process of change, concerning everyday or deeper personal issues.

I am very clear that psychotherapy is my vocation. Clients and colleagues say my passion shines through. I undertake my tasks and projects with enthusiasm and my highly developed sense of intuition has helped refine my insight into people.

Masters Degree in Psychotherapy

I hold a Master of Science degree in psychotherapy from the University of Wales Medical College. I also have qualifications in Transactional Analysis, pastoral and clinical counselling, EFT. (Emotional Freedom Technique),Trauma therapy and Body therapy.

Before establishing my own practice, I spent 15 years in management in the textile industry, where I gained a Business Studies Degree and was responsible for a budget of £25Million. Here my ability to organise was a great help

My first marriage to a man with very severe mental health issues gave me experience which was to prove invaluable in my later role as a counsellor and therapist.

21 years ago I realised that, professionally, I was “in the wrong place”. I made the decision to retrain as a psychotherapist and undertook very extensive training to ensure that I was fully qualified, studying for an MSc in psychotherapy.  In the early stages I was also employed full time, studying every day before going to work.

My personal life and working life experience has provided the perfect foundation for my work in psychotherapy and life change. I am passionate about fulfilling potential, and I offer bespoke services which enable people to achieve this.

I have devised and led many groups and courses, including Singular Challenge for divorced people, Rekindle your Dreams, dream interpretation, setting up a therapy practice and stress management.

Drawing on years of experience in organisations such as the NHS, a women’s refuge, a mental health charity, and mediation services, I now focus on my psychotherapy  practice and leading related courses.

I have clients right across the UK, from Belfast to London, from where several clients come to see me for a broad range of psychotherapy issues.

International Psychotherapy Practice

In recent years, I have begun to expand my practice internationally. My international clients include;

• A client in Dubai for psychotherapy
• A client in Hong Kong for psychotherapy
• A recent client in Slovakia for a range of treatments
• A contribution for a healing book for a German specialist

I contribute regular articles for a number of magazines and also appear as a specialist advisor on a range of issues on local radio.
